Last week, I completed my second successful "major" (and by major, I mean presentable) sewing project, a dress for my soon-to-be-born neice:

My second successful "major" sewing project...
About 5 years ago, I made a dress for myself, out of a beautiful silver almost-satiny material that I loved, for a Big Band dance. It was obviously my first major sewing project, but I was pretty proud of myself. Thankfully, I have no pictures of it, and it has since been donated to Goodwill.
Last week, I completed my second successful "major" (and by major, I mean presentable) sewing project, a dress for my soon-to-be-born neice:
